Efficient device independent quantum cryptography

Abstract

The main objective of this proposal is to close the gap between theory and experiment by developing the theory that is needed to prove the security of real world implementations of (fully) device independent security protocols, and to optimize their efficiency. QKD will be used as a test case among other protocols such as randomness expansion. The theory will be based on quantum information theoretic methods, such as the entropy accumulation theorem as well as the quantum de Finetti theorem, as well as their possible extensions.
