3D THERMO-MECHANICAL MODELING OF MULTILAYERED TBC S FOR GAS TURBINE ENGINES

Abstract

The proposed research here integrates material selection and process design capabilities (to deposit coatings of different controlled microstructures) with computer based simulation of these systems to provide a comprehensive and theoretically based understanding of stresses, strain energies, and temperature gradients that drive coating failure.
