(YIP) DYNAMIC DATA-DRIVEN DECISION MAKING, PLANNING, AND COMMUNICATIONS IN AUTONOMOUS UNMANNED AERIAL VEHICLE NETWORKS FOR DISASTER MANAGEMENT

Abstract

The objective of this YIP basic research project is to develop a data-driven planning and decision making mechanism for fully autonomous Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) networks to enable the agents to provide a real-time or near real-time response to variations in dynamic systems. This research focuses on developing theoretical and practical frameworks to utilize a fleet of cooperative small UAVs for disaster management in remote and hard-to-reach areas with minimum human intervention.
