The Marvin Minsky Institute for Society of Mind Theory
Abstract
The PI proposes to work on theories of deep reasoning and understanding via a research platform referred to as the Genesis system. Genesis explores a variety of human cognitive processing that expose elements for story understanding, reflective thinking, analogical reasoning, fluent conversation, concept learning, problem solving, debugging, imagination, and many other processes. By modeling cognitive competence, he will shed light on what makes us uniquely human.
