ELECTROSTATIC GATING TOOLS FOR NEW AND BETTER SUPERCONDUCTORS
Abstract
To fulfill the research and education interests of the Department of Defense (DoD) in materials science, and expand our research capacities in new superconductor research, we propose to the Defense University Research Instrumentation Program (DURIP) to acquire a custom automated transfer systems with the associated wire bonder and Keithley source meters for us to strengthen our superconductivity research with electrostatic gating capability. These systems will enable precise control and transfer of bulk, exfoliated thin flakes and heterostructures onto specific substrates with accurate control of their position and rotational angles.
