NONLINEAR MATERIAL TESTER FOR ELECTROACTIVE PROPERTY DIAGNOSTICS OF ENERGETIC MATERIALS

Abstract

Funds are requested for the purchase of a complete nonlinear material tester system for electroactive property diagnostics of energetic materials. This is critically needed to determine the electroactive properties including but not limited to piezoelectric coefficients, hysteresis loops, dielectric constants, leakage, piezoelectric fatigue and aging in many energetic materials so that the synthesis, use and storage of those materials could be altered or improved. This system enables the measurements of the aforementioned material properties regardless of sample sizes or shapes.
