PERFORMANCE LIMITS OF HOT ELECTRON PHOTOCATHODES FOR THZ APPLICATIONS

Abstract

In this proposal we will theoretically and experimentally demonstrate the performance limits of HELAC (Hot Electron Laser Assisted Cathode) technology for THz applications, and then integrate those optimized HELACs with soliton microcombs for THz electron beam generation.
