High speed analysis and broad mass range detection through the application of MALDI-TOF-TOF mass spectrometry to macromolecular samples

Abstract

Abigail Knight, an assistant professor in the Department of Chemistry at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, is pursuing funding for a MALDI TOF-TOF mass spectrometer through the Defense University Research Instrumentation Program (DURIP). This instrument is a necessary upgrade to retired MALDI MS instrumentation on the UNC campus. This proposal establishes the need for a Bruker UltrafleXtreme MALDI-TOF-TOF instrument with imaging capabilities for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC-Chapel Hill).
