Funding for US PhD students to attend the conference

Abstract

The purpose of this project is to provide funds for researchers and students to attend the 16th tri-annual International Conference on Stochastic Programming (ICSP), to be held in Davis, California, July 24-28, 2023. The ICSP is the premier event of the Stochastic Programming Society, a technical session of the Mathematical Optimization Society that brings together researchers and practitioners who work on decision making under uncertainty. The total number of attendees is estimated to be 400. This project aims to support 4 researchers and students with substantial reduction of the conference registration fee and 10 researchers and students with full reimbursement of lodging expenses. The supported researchers and students will be individuals at US universities, with a preference given to those that have a proven interest in DoD related research questions. The total cost is $10000.
