Reservoir computing metamaterials for dynamically reconfigurable structures

Abstract

We will pursue a combined numerical and experimental approach, fabricating macro-scale 3D printed structures and measuring their mechanical properties. Numerical simulations will be used to design lattices that execute specific tasks. Finally, the predictions will be validated by experiments that measure large deformations with high speed optical imaging. The computation procedure will be adjusted to account for any errors resulting from the gap between simulations and experiments.
