Observation of Phonon Excitations at Complex Frequencies for Enhanced Wave-Particle Manipulation

Abstract

This instrumentation proposal aims for the acquisition of a high spatial and temporal resolution 3D imaging system consisting of two high-speed cameras and related accessories, which will enable the first observation of real-time dynamics associated with complex frequency excitations of phononic metamaterials.
