Automation of Remote Security Bootstrapping Through Named-Data Networking

Abstract

Seeks to develop foundational understanding of ways to automate trust and remote security configuration for mobile IoT devices. The project s objectives include investigating remote security bootstrapping requirements for IoT applications through NDN, designing easy-to-use mechanisms for remote security bootstrapping, and developing a decentralized identity management approach using the NDN networking model. The project will be led by Dr. Leobino Sampaio, with the assistance of graduate student Adriana Viriato. The project will involve literature reviews, protocol design, experimental analysis, and collaboration with international research partners.
