Thermal laser epitaxial growth system for the synthesis of ultraclean quantum materials containing refractory elements

Abstract

Proposed is the acquisition of a novel system for thin film epitaxial growth, thermal laser epitaxy (TLE), that will enable the synthesis of novel quantum materials in new regions of synthesis space and with unprecedented purity.
