Symposium on High-Entropy Materials- Fundamental and Potential Applications.
Abstract
The 2024 International Materials Research Congress will host a special symposium on High-Entropy Materials (HEMs) in honor of Professor Jien-Wei Yeh s pioneering contributions to the field. This event will provide a comprehensive overview of HEMs research, including High-Entropy Alloys (HEAs), High-Entropy Ceramics (HECs), High-Entropy Polymers (HEPs), and other multicomponent systems. The symposium will cover various RandD topics, such as materials development, structural and functional properties, environmental resistance, synthesis and processing, advanced characterization, and modeling approaches. Nine keynote and approximately 50 invited speakers have confirmed their participation, with additional regular speakers expected to contribute. The symposium will be held from August 19-23, 2024, in Cancun, Mexico, as part of the International Materials Research Congress (IMRC). The total estimated budget for the symposium is US $51,300. The goal of this symposium is to inspire and engage students and young scientists to pursue their own research in the realm of High-Entropy Materials.
