PIV Hardware and High-Frequency Sensors for Boundary Layer Measurements
Abstract
The requested additions of hardware and software aim to significantly enhance the capabilities of our laboratory infrastructure to support ongoing AFOSR-funded research in aero- dynamics. The cluster processing software module will drastically reduce processing times for large datasets generated by Particle Tracking Velocimetry (PTV) experiments, accelerating the research timeline. The DPDS Calibration Target will improve the accuracy of Tomographic PIV (TomoPIV) and PTV measurements, particularly in detailed areas like the boundary layer, leading to more precise and reliable results.
