Funding for Frontiers in Materials Engineering- An International PPG-CEM Workshop (T352)

Abstract

The workshop aims to provide a forum for sharing cutting-edge research in Materials Engineering, with a comprehensive approach to attract a broad spectrum of participants. In addition to fostering knowledge exchange, the event seeks to encourage interaction among students and experts in advanced topics in materials engineering, highlighting research being conducted at PPG-CEM, UFSCar. The topics in the current workshop encompass the study and development of new materials through both experimental and simulation approaches, relevant for industries including energy, aerospace, electronics, and sustainability. These topics are directly linked to the expertise of our keynote speakers. The event aims to suggest new pathways for the development of materials engineering, integrating experimental data with advanced simulation techniques to foster innovation. The knowledge and skills shared during the talks can lead to the development of more sustainable, efficient, and high-performance materials, driving progress in both academia and industry. Additionally, it is an opportunity for foreign speakers to visit Brazilian universities, promoting internationalization and collaborative research.
