Conference Support for Photodynamics 2024- This event will provide a valuable opportunity to expand in the Chilean academic community the outcomes in research that is related to the AFORS topics.

Abstract

The 12th edition of the International Meeting on Photodynamics and Related Aspects will be held for the first time in Santiago, Chile, from November 11 to 15, 20241. The last versions of the congress took place in Maresias, Brazil (2012), Oaxaca, Mexico (2014) , Mendoza, Argentina (2016), Cartagena de Indias, Colombia (2018), and Havana, Cuba (2022). The central theme of the conference is the description of physical and chemical processes from both experimental and theoretical perspectives, and we already have confirmation from top researchers worldwide (see https---www.photodynamics2024.com). The topics to be addressed are- - Photodynamics in gas phase and clusters- spectra, energy transfer, and reactions. - Photodynamics in condensed phases- spectra, energy transfer, and reactions. - Ultrafast processes - Ultracold collisions - Molecular systems with astrophysical and astrochemical interest. - Photodynamics in nanometric and biological systems. - Collisions with surfaces Many of these areas are declared in the Broad Agency Announcements (BBA) as topics of interest to AFOSR- Atomic and Molecular Physics, Ultrashort Pulse Laser-Matter Interactions, and Condensed Matter Physics programs.
