Interlocking Mechanical Attachment Systems

Abstract

Anticipated outcomes will be a set of computational and analytical design methods and tools, and a set of fabrication processes, that can be used to design and manufacture compliant mechanical attachment systems. These will be communicated to the engineering public via research publications on the topics of mechanics of engineered surface structure arrays, compliant mechanisms, and other relevant areas.
