Digital, Multiscale, Adaptive Assembly Platform for Multifunctional Material Systems

Abstract

This DURIP proposal seeks to acquire a custom Digital, Multiscale Adaptive Assembly Platform (DMAAP) for Multifunctional Materials Systems that will enable new capabilities in the fabrication of multifunctional materials. The proposed DMAAP is an integrated system that couples high-precision additive manufacturing, robotic manipulation, autonomous assembly, and high-resolution projectors for patterning material composites across multiple length scales with complex architectures.
