Flexible Display Center

Abstract

The flexible electronics program conducts applied research on the integration of electronics, power components, and sensors on non-traditional flexible substrates. The program builds upon two-dimensional (2D) flexible electronics to incorporate the integration of electronic components, power systems, and sensors into three-dimensional (3D) flexible architectures. The research includes electronic modeling, design, fabrication, and analysis. The applied research supports the demonstration of Army-relevant sensors on flexible substrates for Army applications such as monitoring of the human state. This project supports Army science and technology efforts in the Command, Control, Communications and Intelligence portfolio. The cited work is consistent with the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering Science and Technology priority focus areas.
