NANOMATERIALS APPLIED RESEARCH

Abstract

The objective of this project is to support the design, development, and evaluation of nanostructure materials that improve the Soldier's survivability. This project funds collaborative applied research and integration of government, academic, and industry scientific research on nanomaterials derived from PE 0601104A/project J12 (Institute for Soldier Nanotechnologies (ISN)) to advance innovative capabilities. The work is a collaborative effort between the ISN at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the Army Laboratories and Research, Development, and Engineering Centers, and the ISN industrial partners. The cited work is consistent with the Director, Defense Research and Engineering Strategic Plan, the Army Modernization Strategy, and the Army Science and Technology Master Plan. Work in this project is performed by the Army Research Laboratory (ARL), Adelphi, MD and Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.
