Strengthening Veterinary Legislation and Education in Uzbekistan to Support Disease Control and International Regulations in Alignment with OIE
Abstract
Provide the Republic of Uzbekistan State Veterinary Committee’s (SVC) a robust veterinary services, a veterinary medical education pathway, and a foundation of veterinary legislation that will support disease control and mitigate the threat of especially dangerous pathogens and other zoonotic diseases of concern within the region. More specifically, DTRA seeks to leverage the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) Veterinary Legislative Support Program (VLSP) and Veterinary Education Twinning Program (VETP) in dual, two-phase projects to achieve these objectives.
