EGR1 regulation of neuronal survival and inflammation following VEEV infection
Abstract
The primary goal of this work is to understand the influence of EGR1 on VEEVinduced transcription, inflammation and apoptosis. To this end we propose the following Aims: Aim 1: Determine the influence of EGR1 on gene expression following VEEV infection. Aim 2: Determine the importance of EGR1 on neuronal survival and neuroinflammation. Aim 3: Determine viral and cellular factors that regulate EGR1 expression.
