Project CASES (Comprehensive Academic and Socio-Emotional Support)
Abstract
Project CASES (Comprehensive Academic and Socio-Emotional Support) improves the academic achievement of our military-connected students by directly addressing the academic and socio-emotional challenges that they face. Academic challenges will be addressed through the development of a comprehensive Response to Intervention program that includes a tiered system of academic support. This system will include targeted research-based instructional strategies and programs, including after school and summer session tutoring. Socio-emotional supports will include the development of a school-wide behavior support system that includes individual and group counseling designed to improve coping strategies for military impacted students.
