social-emotional and mindfulness (SEM) program
Abstract
The goal of this proposal is to improve social-emotional skills and reduce disciplinary incidents among students in the Mountain Home School District, which includes 34.5% military-dependent students from the Mountain Home Air Force Base. Strategies includes proving a school-wide social-emotional and mindfulness (SEM) program, with teacher and counselor professional development. A student-to-student peer mentoring program for military-dependent students will be developed, and parent and community involvement are key elements of this comprehensive program to improve students social-emotional and behavioral outcomes, with a particular focus on military dependent students.
