Grants to Local Educational Agencies for Military-Connected Academic and Support Programs
Abstract
With a primary focus on College and Career Readiness, the goals of Project READ are designed to support the academic achievement of all students in the area of English Language Arts (ELA) at Fort Leavenworth. This research-based initiative leverages best practices in instruction and interventions, differentiated instruction, and student support to achieve academic success for military students. To accomplish our goals, we propose to establish a highly effective districtwide system of tiered support to improve student achievement. As such, Project READ aims to help military students achieve the highest levels of academic excellence in reading, writing, listening and speaking.
