Project Preparation Increasing Military Dependent Students College and Career Readiness and Achievement in Mathematics and Science
Abstract
Project Preparation will increase PreK-12 military dependent student achievement in mathematics and science and college and career readiness through teacher professional development NGSS and strategies used through AP and Project Lead the Way Launch. Concurrent improvement in mathematical and scientific thinking will increase student learning in both disciplines; students need more experience with statistics, measurement and dimensional analysis in math and science settings. Increasing math and science achievement and the number of students who meet and exceed the college and career readiness benchmarks on the ACT will increase student confidence and interest in STEM careers.
