Mathematics for At Risk Students for College and Career Readiness

Abstract

The intent of the Mathematics for At-Risk Students for College and Career Readiness (MARSCCR) project is to develop a sustainable culture to challenge and support at-risk military connected students to complete high school on track and to be successful in math as they enter their college or their career after graduation. While 29% of O’FaIIon Township High School graduates matriculate to college, only 62% of freshmen start academically prepared to pursue a college preparatory math curriculum. The MARS-CCR project will provide professional development to teachers to support at-risk students and provide additional instruction to the students during the school day.
