Illuminated Goals and Nurturing Toward Engagement (IGNITE)
Abstract
“IGNITE (Illuminating Goals and Nurturing Interests Toward Engagement)”–Falcon School District 49 seeks meet the goal of increasing the level of support for military dependent students’ math and science scores, as well as foster career and college interests at targeted schools at the elementary level (K-5) and middle school level (6-8). This increase will be accomplished by implementing various STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) based activities, curriculum and professional development for educators. Additionally, cognitive, auditory and visual impairment screens, and resources will be conducted for military connected students, to aid the learning process.
