Operation Open Doors
Abstract
Through Operation Open Doors, military dependent students explore future possibilities and develop a 10-year plan to accomplish their goals. Using PSAT/ACT assessments and interest inventories, students identify their strengths and areas where work is needed. Parents get involved, shaping plans and learning about how they can help their children achieve their dreams. JROTC is enhanced by new technology, and middle school students explore college and career possibilities through summer activities and trips. After school, elementary students try on a variety of careers, finding areas of fit, and shaping their future vision.
