Computer science (Cybersecurity) & STEM enrichment support project
Abstract
The purpose of this award is to provide funds for a 5 year grant to SUHSD to enhance opportunities for students to explore careers in STEM fields. This grant focuses on providing support to the high number of students from military-connected homes to addressing the need to increase student participation in Computer Science and STEM courses and activities. This grant will support a comprehensive system of enrichment activities, instructional practices and support beginning in grade 7 with the goal of improving military-connected students’ academic achievement in math and in high school Advanced Placement STEM/CS exams, resulting in skilled, confident students ready for post-secondary STEM opportunities.
