Supporting CCR STEM: Fort Drum Mountaineers Reaching New Peaks
Abstract
General Brown Central School District will partner with SUNY Potsdam Institute for Applied Research (PIAR) to enact Supporting CCR STEM: Fort Drum Mountaineers Reaching New Peaks targeting improved performance of military-dependent students, grades 9-12, on NYS CC Math Regents exams. Strategies include Virtual Classrooms and In Class Technology Support, accomplished through implementing Flipped Classrooms and new technology devices. Curriculum, assessment and data work will support the new pedagogical practices. The PIAR will provide evaluation services and assist in documenting progress towards the goal of significantly increasing student performance on the NYS CC Math Regents. These gains will demonstrate significant capacity building for College and Career Readiness.
