Integrating the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) Through Coaching to Improve Teacher Practices
Abstract
This project will focus on providing teachers in-depth training through professional development and coaching around implementation of the NGSS and Project Based Learning (PBL). Implementing PBL and NGSS together will engage students in rigorous content and will ensure proficiency with Science and Engineering practices which are critical indicators of student readiness for success in postsecondary education and careers. The Clover Park School District will build on existing opportunities and increase overall access to STEM in preparation for college and career.
