Great Expectations And Results Urgency Plan 2 Lead STEM (GEAR UP 2 Lead STEM)
Abstract
Project STEM has two goals: 1. Increase the percentage of military-connected students in grade K-8 scoring proficient or above on the Missouri Assessment Program Science assessment during the grant cycle. 2. Increase the percentage of military-connected students in grade 9-12 scoring above the National Average on the Science ACT during the grant cycle. The GEAR UP 2 Lead STEM Grant is a direct result of research analysis, local needs assessment, quantitative data analysis, and qualitative input from our military-connected families. The grant is aligned to the strategic plan and expressed goals of Knob Noster Public Schools Board of Education in partnership with Whiteman Air Force Base leadership and community. The fiscal outlay of this grant is designed to support programs and activities which will allow Knob Noster Public Schools to respond to the identified needs through strategic and purposeful activities and operational expenditures.
