Project CAMO: Concepts, Application, Methods and Optimization

Abstract

Project CAMO (Concepts, Application, Methods, and Optimization) will equip our military-connected students at San Onofre School and Mary Fay Pendleton School with enhanced, expanded access to technology and programs that provide them with opportunities to apply their science, technology, engineering, and math skills with authentic, real-world, problem-based learning. Project-based learning answers the age-old question, “Why do I need to learn this?” Students will experience meaningful learning experiences with NGSS-aligned lessons, enhanced STEM labs, STEM clubs, and 1:1 technology for all K-8 students. The new programs and devices will require the use of the 4 Cs: Collaboration, Communication, Critical Thinking, and Creativity. Project CAMO will not only prepare our students for the future, it will prepare them to create the future.
