Travis Unified Alliance for Science

Abstract

Travis Unified Alliance for Science is a team effort to propel the achievement of military-connected students in science, technology, and engineering to world-class standards. High school science students will have technology at their fingertips to collect and analyze lab data, run simulations, and access current research. Students start learning to program in Kindergarten, and computer science, technology, and engineering are smoothly integrated with science instructions through a partnership with the UC Davis C-STEM Center. Elementary students participate in a Summer Day Camp collaboratively developed by teachers, Travis AFB, and local business, where high school camp counselors partner with elementary and high school teachers to experience STEM-related careers in workplace settings.
