STEM FORWARD is the initiative to create and implement STEM CTE certification programs in the high demand areas of technology and medicine
Abstract
The initiative would create a STEM Forward Committee to oversee the continued expansion of career technical certification programs for 11th and 12th grade students. Based upon current research of high demand careers, community and site assessments, and interest-inventories, it was determined that the initiative would initially create courses in Unmanned Vehicle Operation (DRONES), Cyber Security and Threat Assessment, Medical Assistant, Physical Therapy, Pharmacy Tech, and Sports Medicine.
