Abstract
The goals of Operation STEM Discovery (OSD) are to (1) improve proficiency in STEM among military-connected students in grades 3 through 5, and (2) improve STEM focused career readiness skills of students with moderate to severe special needs. These goals will be achieved through provision of Math tutoring; delivery of Project Lead the Way instruction within grades 2-5; access to STEM-focused summer Science camp to military-connected students; evidence-based instructional curricula and academic enrichment. OSD will be implemented at six elementary and one alternative school, all with a high percentage of military-connected students.
