Imagining, Inventing, and Solving through STEM

Abstract

Student achievement in North Chicago is the district s highest priority and the most important lever for overall district growth. School and district leadership teams are committing renewed energy and effort to dramatically increase student achievement for all students in District 187 schools, and specifically for military connected students. Through this project, "Imagining, Inventing, and Solving through STEM", we will provide heightened support in math to our military-connected students during the instructional day, as well as during after-school time. With this support, we are setting a goal of increasing student achievement in math by 8% over 2017 data, as measured by the percent of students reaching growth targets. We will provide academic assistance by implementing extracurricular activities, in-class curriculum and instructional supports, and in-class technology supports
