STEM Innovation - Unlock the Discovery

Abstract

The mission of Hardin County Schools is the "Success of Every Student Every Day". To ensure all students are successful and receive the highest quality education, the united community of teachers, administrators, staff, and parents work together collaboratively to meet the needs of our school-aged students. Our military community and our educational community work together to respond to the individual needs of each student. The response to our district s desire to develop STEM schools, Hardin County Schools is intentionally seeking resources for teaching STEM content areas through STEM practices of sciences and mathematical education. This initiative, STEM Innovation - Unlock the Discovery, set forth in this proposal will provide our targeted students with the goals and strategies to fuel a cultural shift to interdisciplinary STEM teaching and learning that will impact current and future achievement and success for our targeted students. The world s events are demonstrating the importance of technology and STEM education as the COVID- 19 pandemic in our state has required the closing of all schools. We are relying on technology to support our students through on-line classes and instruction. This historical period has demonstrated the importance of STEM education in our schools. If awarded, we will work diligently to build a STEM culture through organizational capacity building, in class curriculum, instructional support, and extracurricular STEM educational learning.
