Derby Unified School District #260 Grant
Abstract
Derby Public Schools, in Derby, Kansas, serves a significant number of military-connected students because of its proximity to McConnell Air Force Base. Through project Derby Public Schools will work to increase the number of Military-connected students participating in the Health Sciences CTE pathway, through purchasing supplies to offer additional BioMed Pathway classes (in the areas of EKG and Phlebotomy), and build a partnership with the new, local hospital to provide opportunities for our High School students. We will also purchase Health curriculum resources and Professional Development to enhance instruction in our 6th Grade PE classes.
