Pathways to Success
Abstract
With support from DoDEA, Groton Public School will develop a K-12 Career Pathway Program. Through teacher professional development and externships, we will expand career-connected learning experiences for our students including internships, certifications, and mentorships with an emphasis on healthcare. We will enrich our elementary and middle school science curriculum to include interdisciplinary lessons that integrate the Common Core State Standards in ELA and Math with the Next Generation Science Standards and enable teachers to seamlessly transition between in-class and online instruction. Using quantitative and qualitative metrics, we will evaluate the impact of these efforts on the academic performance of our military-connected students with the goal to improve college and career readiness.
