Making Way for STEAM Careers
Abstract
The Making Way for STEAM Careers project will be implemented at 16 schools within the Chula Vista Elementary School District in San Diego County. The goals of the project are to: increase student interest and engagement in and knowledge of science and engineering, and specifically life science and biotechnology, as evidenced by quantitative and or qualitative measures by the end of the grant cycle and increase students’ awareness of and knowledge of STEAM careers, in particular in the life science and biotechnology sector, and their understanding of how these align with their strengths and interests as evidenced by quantitative and qualitative measures by the end of the grant cycle.
