Abstract
Literacy and Language Matters in Making Sense of the World at Central aims to improve student achievement in language arts at both the elementary and middle school levels for Central School District 104 in O Fallon, IL. A needs assessment revealed a drop in student achievement in ELA between kindergarten and eighth grade throughout the last few years.
