Abstract

South Jefferson Central School District seeks DoDEA funding to combat waning commitment to school, normalization of substance use, attitudes favoring antisocial behavior, and increased depressive symptoms reported by students connected to the 10th Mountain Division Fort Drum.i Spartans Strong’s objectives ensure that military dependent students grades 6 to 8 will demonstrate growth in prosocial behaviors, attitudes, and perceptions as evidenced by quantitative qualitative measures, and demonstrate growth in connectedness to school evidenced by reduced chronic absenteeism severe chronically absenteeism.
