Fondation Stones for Math Achievement
Abstract
Military connected students must have opportunities to make connections between mathematical concepts and skills learned along the K to 12 continuum to solve real world math problems essential for success in college, career and civic life. The Hawaii Department of Education has adopted mathematical standards aligned with college and workforce readiness that include rigorous content and application of knowledge through higher order skills. Foundation Stones for Math Achievement will strengthen math achievement for military connected students at 8 targeted schools.
