Building Pathways to Biliteracy
Abstract
Clover Park School District’s grant project, Building Pathways to Biliteracy, involves adding world language programming in grade K to12 that provides early opportunities for young students to engage in world language instruction through a dual language immersion program and a Foreign Language in Elementary Schools (FLES) program in grade K to 5, expand the Spanish Heritage programming in grades 6 to12, and partner with local universities to offer career pathways to create a robust vertical pipeline of opportunities for all students to reach proficiency in a variety of languages.
