Abstract

Students are right where they should be with The DiversiMath Project. In the center, Student centered learning is the focus of The DiversiMath Project grant. Alamogordo Public Schools serving Otero County and Holloman Air Force Base wants to bring student centered learning to military connected, 3 to 8 math students. A robust professional learning plan that will shift teacher mindsets and support them through the abstract and the concrete implementation of student centered learning is at the core of The DiversiMath Project. With a focus on differentiation and math centers, student centered learning will transform both teachers and students beliefs with confidence about math learning.
