Project AGILE
Abstract
Project AGILE (Adaptive, Goal centered, Interest based, Lifelong Learning for Enlistment, Employment, and Enrollment) aims to revolutionize the education experience for military connected students in the Bremerton School District. To engage and empower our students, we will transform student learning experiences by removing barriers and increasing relevance. Acknowledging the pressing need for structural change, we are committed to reimagining the entire student journey from kindergarten to 12th grade within our existing system. Our ultimate goal is to equip our military connected students with the adaptability and mindset essential for thriving amidst the dynamic challenges of the future. We will achieve this transformation by implementing two evidence based strategies. Firstly, we will enhance college and career readiness through immersive exposure, exploration, and engagement opportunities, including mentoring, experiential learning, internships, and opportunities to earn credit for work experience. By providing real world experiences, we will equip students to confidently navigate diverse paths. Secondly, we will prioritize personalized learning through competency based approaches, tailoring education to individual strengths and interests. This fosters a deeper understanding and passion for learning, ensuring each student thrives. By embracing instructional innovation, we will revolutionize the educational experience in Bremerton Schools. This structural transformation is essential to effectively prepare our students for the challenges they ll encounter in the future, equipping them for pathways of enlistment, enrollment, and employment. Through Project AGILE, we re not just redefining educational experiences, we re shaping futures, ensuring our students are not only ready to adapt to change but are also poised to lead it.
