State of Maryland (DIA)

Abstract

In response to the maturation of the Maryland Economic Diversification of Defense-Dependent Communities and evolving Maryland stakeholder needs, the Maryland team is requesting the following: • Supplemental funding from OEA in the amount of $656,549 (federal) and $78,027 (non-federal). • Authorization to refine the scope of the first three components of the approved contractual elements (Supply Chain Mapping, SWOT Analysis, and Industry Cluster Analysis). • Extension of the approved grant period end date from January 31, 2016 to December 31, 2016. OEA prior approval for the aforementioned requests will allow the state to refine and strengthen the process and resources necessary to minimize impacts on regional Maryland economies caused by Department of Defense (DoD) budget reduction impacts to the State’s defense communities.
